Farm Aid Festival Virginia Beach reviews
Southern Rock at its best
"I have always wanted to see these bands live since the late 70's and I finally got my chance. The parking lot was full for the first time for us when and the line for the men's room was longer than the one for the lady's room. Absolutely a great salute as part of the Farewell Tour, all the acts were great especially Farm Aid Festival where they incorporated footage of Ronnie singing back in the 70's as part of the show. Some of us older guys spent a good portion of our time waiting in line to use the men's room, the only drawback. The rent a cops wouldn't let anyone 'go over the hill' and go behind a tree. I believe that the event was sold out, 15,000 is the capacity on the internet but I think there were more than that in attendance. I was struck at how many young people (late 20's-late 30's) were fans of Southern rock, thinking that there would only be us old timers. We have been at Bethel Woods at least once a year for the last 7 years."
